SARSAS Awarded £260K Community Fund Grant!

We are absolutely thrilled to announce that SARSAS has been awarded a £260,000 grant from The National Lottery’s Reaching Communities Fund.

This generous funding will support our five-year programme, Waiting Well, Surviving Well, enabling us to provide community-focused support before, during, and after engagement with our clinically based services.

This vital grant will allow us to expand peer group activities and networks, offer additional support to survivors while they wait for one-to-one services, and further develop our Drop In, Reach Out work.

Importantly, it will help us tackle the barriers that prevent racially and ethnically minoritised communities from accessing sexual violence support, contributing to the reduction of health inequalities

“We’re incredibly grateful to The National Lottery for their support. They recognised our achievements, impact, and inclusive focus to date and described Waiting Well, Surviving Well as a flagship project – one they are proud to feature prominently in communications about their Southwest portfolio. This funding will make a real difference to the lives of survivors in our communities.”
Tracey Lee, Head of Income Generation & Comms

We look forward to putting this funding into action, strengthening our services, building supportive networks, and ensuring that survivors from all backgrounds can access the help they need.

You can watch this short video to see the impact of our Drop In and Reach Out service and hear directly from our team. Discover the work we’ve already done and how this new grant will enable us to continue providing this vital support.
