Celebrating impact: our 2024 – 2025 report

We’re proud to share our Impact Report for 2024-2025; a reflection of the resilience, courage, and hope that defines SARSAS and the people we support.

Over the past year, we supported 1,126 people through counselling, specialist support, group work, and online trauma sessions. Our team also responded to more than 3,000 contacts through our helpline and e-support services.

But these numbers only tell part of the story. We’ve also taken strides in prevention and education. Through our training programmes, outreach work and campaigning, we’re working to change the narrative that exists around rape and sexual abuse, helping to shift attitudes, raise awareness, and reduce harm before it happens.

Our volunteers and staff have been working tirelessly, often beyond what’s visible. From the helpline volunteers who offer life-changing emotional support and the group facilitators who hold space for every survivor, to the admin, fundraising, finance and partnership teams – each role matters in changing lives.

This report is, above all, a celebration of the survivors who place their trust in us, and the dedicated staff and volunteers whose passion and commitment make our work possible. They are the heart of SARSAS, driving change and creating safe spaces for healing every single day.

The growing threat of AI-generated sexual abuse: why we need stronger protections now

Our trainer, Jade, took to LinkedIn to express support for Jess Asato, stating: “My support goes out to Jess Asato MP and every woman and child targeted by the non-consensual creation of AI-generated sexual and degrading images.”. Here we explore this worrying issue in more detail and the impact it has on society and survivors.

Fay’s Skydive Story

“When I’d landed, if someone had said the plane was going to go up again and there was a space for me, I would have gone straight back up and done it again!”

Are your staff prepared to respond to sexual harassment and abuse, support disclosures, and have confident conversations about sensitive topics?

We understand that ensuring compliance with different laws and regulations can feel overwhelming at times, and finding the right courses to meet your needs can often feel confusing.
