What SARSAS does

Our vision is a world without gender-based violence where everyone can live free from abuse and its impact.

We stand alongside people affected by sexual violence; listening, believing, and supporting them to reclaim their lives.

Through counselling, 1:1 support, group work and our helpline, we support people to heal after rape or sexual assault and campaign so that no-one is left unheard.

How your donation helps

Without our supporters, we would not be able to continue providing life-changing services to people affected by sexual violence.

With your help, last year we:

  • supported 490 people through specialist support work and counselling
  • delivered 12 groups supporting 89 women
  • provided 1,011 hours of support  through our helpline services.

I was struggling with self-care. I couldn’t make myself a priority. My counsellor helped me start smalls acts of self-care, identifying what I liked and what made me feel better after a bad day. I started with small things – taking a bath, cooking something nice for tea, listening to my favourite music.
