Non-fatal strangulation: there is no safe way
Strangulation is also known as choking. It happens when someone puts pressure on another person’s neck, restricting blood flow and oxygen to the brain. Even brief strangulation can cause serious injury or death, and the effects are not always immediately visible.
Learning Disabilities and Autism Toolkit
We have developed a toolkit for supporting people with learning disabilities and autistic people who have experienced sexual violence.
The creation of the toolkit was funded by the Three Guineas Trust and the Somerset Discovery Fund, managed by the Somerset Community Foundation.
Sibling sexual abuse information and resources
There are a number of resources designed to increase professional confidence around and knowledge of sibling sexual abuse. These include national best practice guidance and advice and information on working with children, young people, families and adults affected by sibling sexual abuse.
