Introducing our FREE ‘Drop-In & Reach Out’ support service in Bristol

This year, we were proud to launch our new, free ‘Drop In & Reach Out’ service – designed to provide accessible emotional support and wellbeing resources to people in Inner City and East Bristol.

Supported through health inequalities funding, this initiative brings support directly into the heart of the community.

🌱 Reach Out: Support Where You Are

Our Reach Out sessions take place monthly in local community spaces, starting with our February launch at the Wellspring Settlement’s Eatwell Community Café in Barton Hill.

These free, informal, friendly drop-in spaces are for anyone wanting to learn more about the support we offer to people affected by rape and sexual abuse. Visitors can meet our specialist support workers, learn practical coping techniques, receive emotional support, and even join in creative activities.

We’re continuing these sessions at Eatwell Café every month, and we’re always looking for new venues in the area to bring this support even closer to the people who need it.

🌼 Drop-In: A Space for Those Waiting

These sessions help bridge the gap while people are waiting, offering wellbeing activities, connection, and practical advice. Our long-term aim is to also invite local experts to share information on housing, benefits, and financial support.

SARC

What is a sexual assault referral centre (SARC)?

A SARC can offer free, confidential medical, practical and emotional support to people who have been raped, sexually abused or assaulted at any point in their lives. They’re usually provided by the NHS, but will always have specially trained doctors, nurses and support workers.
