Introducing our new strategy

We are thrilled to share our new three-year strategy, which sets out the direction and priorities for SARSAS as we continue our vital work supporting survivors and challenging sexual violence.


This strategy is the result of months of thoughtful collaboration between our trustees, staff and volunteers, as well as the people we support. We wanted to make sure that a wide range of voices and experiences helped shape our vision for the future. Through consultation, discussion, and reflection, we’ve identified the key areas where SARSAS can make the greatest impact in the years ahead.

This vision continues to guide us in all aspects of our work – from the way we provide support and amplify survivor voices to how we campaign for wider systemic change.

Over the next three years, our focus will be on strengthening and expanding our support for survivors, ensuring that our services remain inclusive and accessible, and influencing change at both local and national levels. We recognise the growing demand for specialist support and the challenges of meeting this need within limited resources. That’s why our strategy reaffirms our commitment to advocating for sustainable funding and investment in the sector, so that every survivor can access help when they need it most.

SARSAS has come a long way since starting as Bristol Rape Crisis in 2008, and this new strategy marks the next chapter in our journey. It’s both a reflection of what we’ve achieved and a bold statement of what we intend to do next.
