Becoming a monthly donor allows us to continue listening, believing and supporting survivors. As a heartfelt thank you, we’ll send you a free pin badge to wear with pride, showing your solidarity with survivors.

We’re also incredibly grateful to our one-off donors. Your contribution, no matter the amount, helps survivors of rape and sexual abuse to transform their lives with hope and healing.

But why is it so important? In England and Wales alone, 1 in 4 women, 1 in 6 children and 1 in 18 men have experienced rape or sexual abuse.

The reality is, we all know a survivor.

How we help survivors thrive

Our vision is a world without sexual violence where everyone can live free from abuse and its impact.

We stand alongside people affected by sexual violence; listening, believing, and supporting them to reclaim their lives.

Through counselling, 1:1 support, group work and our helpline, we support people to heal after rape or sexual assault and campaign so that no-one is left unheard.

Last year we:

  • received 1,382 referrals to our service
  • supported 722 people, in-person
  • received 1,382 helpline contacts
  • delivered 72 training sessions
  • welcomed 20 new volunteers

And over 10,000 users visited our website support pages.

The impact of your monthly donation

£5 could help keep our free helpline open each week, providing a safe and confidential space for survivors to talk by phone, email or text chat with our specially trained volunteers.

£10 could contribute towards a 1:1 session with a trauma-informed counsellor, helping a survivor begin to process their experiences and rebuild their life.

£15 could support our ground-breaking services for autistic women and women with learning disabilities.

£25 could help fund our inclusive support groups, focusing on shared healing to help survivors feel connected and less alone.

£50 could contribute to our 1:1 specialist support service, providing emotional, practical and advocacy support.

The result of coming across SARSAS is a total transformation in my life on the outside and my life on the inside.

SARSAS helped me through a very difficult time following me (finally) talking about what happened to me when I was younger, and I really appreciated that more than I could ever express. Still a long way to go on my healing journey but the sessions really helped and I can’t begin to thank you all.
