On Sunday 7 May, around 13,000 people took part in the Great Bristol 10k.
One of our volunteers, Liza and her partner, Jake, ran to raise funds and awareness for SARSAS and both outdid themselves. Jake achieved a personal best of 42:38 while Liza also came in in under an hour with a finish time of 59.23. This is the first time Liza has completed a 10k race without walking at some point so it really is a fantastic achievement.
Thanks to their amazing fundraising and the generosity of their sponsors, they raised £572 which will go directly to supporting survivors of rape and sexual abuse.
We owe them a massive thank you and congratulations for all of their efforts.
Here they are looking remarkably fresh after finishing!
